“Romy was amazing to collaborate with for our Joyful Retreat. She delivered an engaging and informative Autumn cooking workshop for our retreat attendees which left everyone feeling educated and inspired to try creating something nourishing in the kitchen. Romy went above and beyond to ensure every little detail was perfect on the day and our clients are still talking about how delicious the food she prepared for us was.”
Ally Castran | Joyful Pilates Owner
“Romy helped me understand that I can enjoy being my true self without focusing just on my weight. Through my sessions with Romy, I’ve learned to appreciate who I am and what I'm able to achieve.”
Sarah
“Since I had my coaching sessions with Romy, my mindset has completely changed towards food and exercise. Now, I enjoy the food I love and exercise because I want to be and feel stronger. Sometimes the old me wants to tell me, ‘don’t eat that or you need to work out more’ but I just listen to my body and push those thoughts away. I will always be grateful for the great job Romy did and the way she helped me change my relationship with food and my body.”

“Thank you for the last three months working together. Your warmth, passion and support has been a joy. You have guided, listened and suggested so many great things to help me lead a healthier life. When we started, I drank no water and lived most of my days feeling sluggish and headachy. I loved our walks and constant check ins. You always had a plan for any health road blocks I was encountering. Your knowledge of the health industry is second to none. I couldn't recommend you more highly.”

Romy has been facilitating various nutrition and kitchen programs at Bialik College since 2005. With over 500 students who have participated in these programs, they have been fortunate to learn vital kitchen skills and have benefited from the principles of nutrition and healthy food choices.
Romy was employed by our schools Early Learning Centre from 2005 – 2007 to facilitate her “Healthy Tummies” Program. The program aimed at Prep and Grade 1 students, provided fun and stimulating educational weekly classes involving mainly hands on participation with real foods and simple concepts. The focus for these sessions were interactive nutrition principles which enhanced student awareness of the huge variety of foods available and their nutritional value, therefore empowering students to make their own healthy food choices.
Since 2017, Romy has been working with our Middle School students in their Etgar (skills) program each Friday afternoon running the “Our Village Kitchen” cooking program. Romy joins our Year 8 and Year 9 students, where together they create nutritious cooked meals for families in crisis and youth living with a disability. Our students not only learn important life skills in the kitchen, they also learn about healthy eating and giving back to the community.
We are grateful to Romy and her “Our Village Kitchen” program for allowing our students this rich and worthwhile opportunity.
